Elevator Encoder

Elevator encoders are a critical component in the elevator control system allowing the elevator to stop level with the floor, open the doors and close them completely, and provide a smooth and comfortable ride for the passengers.

An encoder is a sensor that detects rotation angle or linear displacement. Encoders are used in devices that need to operate in high speed and with high accuracy.

A motor encoder is a rotary encoder mounted to an electric motor that provides closed loop feedback signals by tracking the speed and/or position of a motor shaft.
